Dr Moodley qualified at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1990.He specialized at the above institution as a Physician and then proceeded to complete his training as a Medical Oncologist in the division of Haematology and Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Wits.
He worked in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University as a senior specialist and lecturer until February 2006. He also ran the Bone Marrow transplant unit.
Dr Moodley is at present in fulltime private practice at the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre which is a University/Private practice joint venture.
His present medical interests include breast cancer in solid tumour oncology and Leukaemia treatment in haematological malignancies. The latter allows him to continue his interest in Stem cell transplantation.
